How many times have you thought Wow, we have a lot of stuff! or said to your kids, "Can't you just be thankful?"  In a world where everyone is constantly inundated with things, it is difficult to teach children...
I used to live in this magical land where babies drank from bottles with little persuasion. They latched on and cuddled into your arms just as if it was the real deal.  That was until I had Charlotte.  She...
I know many subjects regarding motherhood aren’t exactly glamorous or fun to talk about, but we really need to start talking about them! Yes, even the “embarrassing” and “taboo” topics! While I know that some topics may seem scary to a mother-to-be, it’s still good to have a heads up before things happen. Women don’t need to feel ashamed or embarrassed when they go through the magnitude of changes motherhood brings.
Today is my birthday.  I’m now 33, which is not a big milestone by any means. It actually takes me a beat lately to remember my age. But, nonetheless, it feels like I’m entering that interesting age range titled “mid-thirties.” On one hand, I welcome my new sophisticated age category with pride! On the other hand, I’m cringing because somehow “mid-thirties” sounds much older than “thirty.” These high and low conflicting feelings go along well with #momlife right now.

On Saturday, May 13th we hosted our first Bloom: An event for new & expecting moms. We are so thankful to the moms and their support systems who attended for a morning of education & fun!

So yes, my kitchen is a mess, I would highly suggest not eating the food that falls on my floors, and there is so much laundry to be done. But my boys are happy and I am spending every moment I can watching and helping them grow.
With three young children, it already feels like we have SO many things in our house for them to play with. Books, toys, stuffed animals, Legos, play kitchen, ride on toys, you name it. While I know play is so important, I get overwhelmed seeing the amount of toys we have. Especially since they are usually ALL over the living room (kitchen, bedrooms, etc.). I think my kids get overwhelmed with all the stuff some days too. While I do try to do a toy rotation at times, it never happens as often as I would like.
While we are all spending extra time at home, let’s help each other by sharing our gifts even when we can’t share spaces. As a former classroom teacher turned homeschooling mama of three, my kids and I are used...
