Birthday Month Swag!

0

Every year at the start of my birthday month, my email fills up with birthday month wishes from my favorite retailers.  Any business where I had ever given my birthday and email is clamoring to help me treat myself to a free gift or discount with them as I celebrate another spin around the sun.

Generally, I have a rule that if I am going to patronize a business on any kind of a regular basis, I will sign up for their email list, because I LOVE a deal.  This year I kept track of the businesses I heard from and what they were offering.

Without further delay, here is the list!

Sephora – free gift (they give you a few options and you choose – I chose the Glow Recipe Watermelon Duo – I LOVED IT! This was probably one of my top 5 favorites and I’m considering adding it to my skincare routine long-term.)
Ulta – free gift and 2x rewards points on a purchase (they choose the gift – it was a night crème this month)
Nike – 10% off a purchase of $100+, some exclusions apply

Starbucks – free drink of my choice, on my birthday (I chose a grande iced vanilla latte with blonde espresso, almond milk, and vanilla sweet cream cold foam.  The retail price would have been $8.02.)

Hallmark – 20% off a purchase
Pizza Hut – free breadsticks or cinnamon sticks
Kohls – Bonus $10 Kohl’s Cash
Box Lunch – Bonus $5 in rewards cash
IKEA – $10 coupon
DSW – $5 coupon
Sam’s Club – free 18-count bakery cookies
McDonalds – free breakfast pastry
Panera – free bakery treat
Coco Nails – 10% off
Eatons Pizza – free small one-topping pizza with the purchase of a large or XL pizza
Tamara’s – free ice cream
Coach – 10% off a purchase
Inspire Spa – $25 off any Inspire Ritual
Crumbl – free cookie
Marcus Cinemas – free fountain soda
Noodles & Co – free entree
Chick-Fil-A – free dessert
Kwik Trip – 15 bonus visits added to my account (equivalent to a free fountain drink)
A&W – free small root beer float
Culver’s – free single scoop of custard with 1 topping
Coldstone Creamery – buy one get one free ice cream

As you can see, most of the rewards are food-related, but I didn’t mind that at all!  I didn’t get to take advantage of every single offer, but I did as many as I could.  All in all, I ended up using 16 of the offers.  It was a really fun way to feel a little spoiled by some of my favorite businesses and of course…. When I was going, I usually spent a little bit of extra money at each place, too.
