It's the final countdown to summer! You can smell the campfires in the air, the laughter of neighbor kids playing until darkness sets in and relaxation right around the corner! So what are you doing to celebrate the start...
Honestly, do any parents feel balanced more than 10% of the time?
I sat in church on Mother’s Day, with tears streaming down my face. Our church was sensitive to the fact that Mother’s Day isn’t always a happy holiday, saying “Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wishing to be mothers, all those who have lost their mothers…” I heard them, but I didn’t feel the words. In my heart, I felt I would never be a mother, and it was devastating.
Everyone knows Wisconsin is the Dairy State, but our food selections go far beyond the dairy aisle. In fact, coming to Wisconsin and only tasting our cheese is like ordering a hot fudge sundae and eating only the cherry on top.
Summer is all about adventures and making memories! This is also a great time of year to make a bucket list of things you want to see and do! The kids can help make your summer bucket list as well. Summer is the season we all look forward to in Wisconsin. After a long winter I am SO ready to get out with the kids and go camping, play sports, hang out at the beach, and to just be OUTSIDE without having to wear 10 layers of clothing! Registration for these classes begins in a few short weeks, so here is a list of our local outdoor swimming lessons. The lessons are very reasonably priced, and (bonus!), they help the kiddos learn a great life saving skill! Hope to see you at a pool this Summer!

Over the course of 2.5 hours, our goal is to provide new moms and moms-to-be with access to educational resources, pampering, light snacks, giveaways, swag, and an opportunity to tour the hospital. Simply put, it will be a morning of connecting moms and families with relevant local resources.
These April showers that bring May flowers, also bring many more days indoors. Instead of going stir crazy inside after a long winter, try out some new activities with your kids. Many kids are gearing up with excitement for...
When I ended the blog last time, I found myself sitting in the office of a pediatric rheumatologist with my 4 year old daughter, whose knee was the size of a softball, wondering how in the world we ended up here. We had been through knee aspirations at the surgery center, specialists, testing, etc., with no answers yet. Did kids really get arthritis? Or--was it something worse?
