The gist is that like many mammals, babies are born with the ability to hold their pee and poop the same way adults do. When we put diapers on babies they loose this ability and learn to poop and pee freely into their diapers. Then they have to relearn how to hold it again later in life. However if they use this ability in the first six months of life then they can keep it and transition to using the toilet easily. Seems simple right?
Long live the dog days of summer. Looking for fun, cool, and CHEAP ways to stay active this summer? Enter Unison Credit Union's Splish Splash Pool Bash! Unison Credit Union is treating those who live in its service footprint of Northeast Wisconsin with three events throughout the month of July at Fox Valley pools. These are definitely a must add to that summer bucket list.
With the 4th of July just around the corner, if you're on the lookout for some fun patriotic foods that your kids will love, you're in luck. And, better yet, your kids will want to help you make these tasty treats! From pretzels to punch, these red, white, and blue recipes will have your kids starry-eyed and ready for the fireworks to start!
Summer is here and we are ready to hit the beach, or pool, or puddles, what ever warm splashy body of water we can get into. Here are a few summer safety rules to keep in mind while enjoying the warm weather.

Swimsuit Season

0
This summer you can wear whatever you want, but I hope it’s something that lets you swim, splash and play with your family so that you’re part of the fun, part of the memories, and part of the adventure. Because life’s too short to sit on the sidelines!
So what are these two magical books that are so amazing?  Besides being the pick for Global Read Aloud (which usually means it's pretty darn good).  My students also vote on books after we finish them. This is the first book to ever get unanimous two thumbs up (highest rating).  They begged for the sequel and loved it as well. They are already begging for a movie to come out (I'm sure it will).
I love my garden. With several young kids helping me haphazardly plant seeds, I only succeed in growing a few things (one of which is weeds). But I’m fortunate enough to harvest a few goodies from it each summer. Fresh produce and herbs are my favorite! If you don’t have a garden – no problem. I encourage you to drop by any of our amazing nearby farmers markets and take advantage of in-season produce by making these favorite late June recipes.
Kids grow up fast. And their tastes and experiences are always changing and evolving; they aren’t “old and set in their ways” yet.  Which means I can still experiment with their music. While I still have control of the radio and a school-day commute, I’ll take advantage of it while I can….
It doesn’t have a strong flavor and can be shaped so many ways!  Today, I want to share how I used zucchini for ravioli, enchiladas and spaghetti.

In the beginning, I held my children up so they could reach the ceiling, today I support them, and tomorrow, well, tomorrow I could simply be standing next to them while they stand on their tiptoes of adulthood.
