It was a warm and sunny morning on April 24, 2022, at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens for Bloom: An Event for New and Expecting Moms!  Moms and one Dad feasted on an amazing brunch, met with the most...
Kids grow up fast. And their tastes and experiences are always changing and evolving; they aren’t “old and set in their ways” yet.  Which means I can still experiment with their music. While I still have control of the radio and a school-day commute, I’ll take advantage of it while I can….
Did you know Green Bay offers a few free storytimes and activities for young children? I have recently discovered there were even more than I knew about! I think many of us moms can begin to feel a bit...
All three of my kids lived on breastmilk for the first year of their lives.  I feel fortunate that my twins were born at 37 weeks, but they were not good at latching.  I exclusively pumped and bottle fed them, and had to work very hard to produce enough milk.  I tried every trick in the book, but pumping consistently was the only sure way to increase my supply.  My youngest was great at breast feeding so I breastfed and pumped for the first year.  I had no trouble producing enough for one baby since my body had been “trained” to produce enough for two.

When we put diapers on babies they loose this ability and learn to poop and pee freely into their diapers. Then they have to relearn how to hold it again later in life. However if they use this ability in the first six months of life then they can keep it and transition to using the toilet easily. Seems simple right?
I currently am a momma of two little ones. I have a son who just turned 2 and a 6-week-old little girl. I realize I am in the thick of it, and most people would understand if I did...

The Short Baby Phase

How many times have you heard the phrase, “I want a baby” uttered? Or how often has someone asked to hold your baby or told you how sweet your baby is? Baby fever is all over (especially when you are trying to have one yourself). I remember the days of holding friends’ babies, while longing for children of my own. The one thing that didn’t cross my mind at the time, while smelling those sweet newborns and kissing those squishy cheeks, was how short of a time period a baby is actually a baby.
